Participant Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Spa City Strangers! Our mission is simple: to help adults build genuine friendships by bringing together thoughtfully matched strangers over dinner at local restaurants in and around Saratoga Springs, New York.

By registering for, paying for, or attending a Spa City Strangers event, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Our Service
Spa City Strangers organizes small-group dinners and social gatherings designed to help participants meet new people.

We facilitate introductions only. We are not a dating service, matchmaking service, counseling service, or networking agency. While meaningful friendships may develop, we cannot guarantee compatibility, friendship, business opportunities, or future relationships.

2. Eligibility
Participants must:

·       Be at least 21 years old.

·       Provide accurate registration information & validate your Identity through PLAID

·       Attend voluntarily.

·       Be legally able to purchase food or beverages if they choose.

We reserve the right to deny or cancel participation at our discretion.

3. Participant Conduct
To create a welcoming experience, participants agree to:

·       Treat everyone with courtesy and respect.

·       Be inclusive and welcoming.

·       Respect differences in opinions, backgrounds, identities, and beliefs.

·       Avoid harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or unwanted advances.

·       Respect personal boundaries.

·       Allow everyone an opportunity to participate in conversation.

·       Follow all restaurant policies and applicable laws.

Participants who engage in inappropriate, disruptive, or unsafe behavior may be asked to leave and may be prohibited from future events without refund.

4. No Harassment Policy
Spa City Strangers has zero tolerance for:

·       Harassment

·       Threatening behavior

·       Hate speech

·       Sexual harassment

·       Stalking

·       Unwanted physical contact

·       Persistent unwanted attention

If another participant asks you to stop a behavior, you agree to stop immediately.

5. Alcohol
Many dinners take place at restaurants that serve alcohol.

Participants are responsible for their own alcohol consumption and personal decisions. Please drink responsibly.

Spa City Strangers is not responsible for the actions of participants who consume alcohol.

6. Payments
The event fee covers participation in the curated dinner experience.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, meals, beverages, gratuity, taxes, and transportation are the responsibility of each participant.

Refund and cancellation policies will be provided at the time of booking.

7. Attendance
If you cannot attend, please notify us as soon as possible.

Repeated no-shows may affect eligibility for future events because they impact the experience for other participants.

8. Assumption of Risk
By attending, you acknowledge that participating in social gatherings involves inherent risks, including interactions with people you have not previously met.

You voluntarily assume responsibility for your own choices and conduct during and after the event.

9. Personal Responsibility
Participants are responsible for:

·       Their own transportation

·       Their own purchases

·       Their own personal belongings

·       Their own personal safety

Please use common sense and good judgment before, during, and after each event.

10. Privacy
We respect your privacy.

Information you provide during registration is used to help us thoughtfully match participants and operate our events.

We will not sell your personal information to third parties except as required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.

We ask participants to respect the privacy of others and not share another participant’s personal information without permission.

11. Photos
From time to time, Spa City Strangers may take photographs during events for promotional purposes.

Participants may opt out by notifying the host before the event begins.

12. Medical Emergencies
Participants are responsible for managing their own medical conditions, allergies, medications, and dietary needs.

In the event of an emergency, please call 911

13. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spa City Strangers, its owners, employees, volunteers, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, illness, property loss, theft, accident, dispute, or damages arising from participation in an event.

Participants attend voluntarily and assume all associated risks.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

14. Removal From Events
Spa City Strangers reserves the right to remove or refuse service to any participant whose behavior threatens the comfort, safety, or enjoyment of others.

15. Changes
Spa City Strangers may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version in effect on the date of your event governs your participation.

16. You Understand…
·     “You will be dining with people I have not previously met."

·       "You understand that Spa City Strangers cannot guarantee friendships or compatibility."

·       "You agree to treat every participant with dignity and respect."

·       "You understand that participants are independently responsible for their own actions during and after the event."
